যেসব ক্ষেত্রে রোজা ভেঙ্গে ফেলার অনুমতি রয়েছেঃ

যদি এমন অসুস্থ হয়ে পড়ে যে রোজা রাখার শক্তি নেই বা রোজা রাখার দ্বারা অসুস্থতা বেড়ে যাবে, তাহলে তার জন্য রোজা না রাখার অনুমতি রয়েছে। তবে হ্যাঁ, যখনই সুস্থ হয়ে যাবে, তখনই তার ওপর রোজা কাজা করে নেওয়া ওয়াজিব। (আপকে মাসায়েল : খ. ৩, পৃ. ২০২)

১. যে ব্যক্তি এমন দুর্বল হয়ে যায় যে রোজা রাখার শক্তি নেই। (আপকে মাসায়েল : খ. ৩, পৃ. ২০৩)

২. এমন ক্ষুধা বা পিপাসা লাগে যে প্রাণ চলে যাওয়ার উপক্রম হয়ে যায়। (আলমগিরি : খ. ১, পৃ. ২০৭)

৩. গর্ভধারিণী বা স্তন্যদানকারিণী মহিলা যদি নিজের অথবা নিজের বাচ্চার প্রাণপাতের আশঙ্কা করেন, তাহলে তাঁর জন্য রোজা ভেঙে ফেলা জায়েজ আছে। (আলমগিরি : খ. ১, পৃ. ২০৭)

৪. রোজা থাকার কারণে যদি জীবনযাপনের সামগ্রী উপার্জন করতে দুর্বল হয়ে যায়, তাহলে তার জন্য রোজা ভেঙে ফেলার অনুমতি রয়েছে। তবে তা পরে কাজা করে নিতে হবে। তা-ও সম্ভব না হলে ফিদিয়া আদায় করবে এবং প্রতি রোজার পরিবর্তে সদকায়ে ফিতর পরিমাণ দান করে ফিদিয়া আদায় করবে। (শামি : খ. ৩, পৃ. ৪০০)

৫. অনুরূপভাবে ফসল কর্তন করার ক্ষেত্রে। যদি রোজা থাকা অবস্থায় ফসল কর্তন করা সম্ভব না হয়। অন্যদিকে দেরি হলে ফসল নষ্ট হয়ে যাবে। তাহলে রোজা না রাখার অনুমতি আছে এবং অন্য সময় কাজা করে নেবে। (শামি : খ. ৩, পৃ. ৪০০)

In cases where it is permissible to break the fast:

 If he becomes ill and does not have the strength to fast, or if the illness is aggravated by fasting, then he is not allowed to fast.  But yes, whenever he recovers, it is obligatory on him to fast.  (Aapke Masael: b. 3, p. 202)

 1.  The person who becomes so weak that he does not have the strength to fast.  (Aapke Masael: b. 3, p. 203)

 2.  There is such a hunger or thirst that the soul is about to die.  (Alamgiri: b. 1, p. 207)

 3.  If a pregnant or breastfeeding woman fears the death of herself or her child, it is permissible for her to break the fast.  (Alamgiri: b. 1, p. 207)

 4.  If he is unable to earn a living due to fasting, he is allowed to break the fast.  However, it will have to work later.  If that is not possible, he will pay the ransom and will pay the ransom by donating the amount of fitr in charity instead of every fast.  (Shami: b. 3, p. 400)

 5.  Similarly in case of harvesting.  If it is not possible to harvest the crop while fasting.  On the other hand, if it is late, the crop will be ruined.  Then it is permissible not to fast and to work at another time.  (Shami: b. 3, p. 400)
